Queen's University at Kingston commonly known as Queen’s University is a public university located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It was established in the year 1841 by the Church of Scotland. The university owns 3500 acres of land. In 1869 this university became the first in Canada to admit women and in 1883 a women's college was established. In 1912 the university ended its affiliation with Presbyterian Church and adopted its present name. The main campus is spread over 99 acres of land.
